The Jazz Studies concentration provides students the opportunity to study jazz improvisation, arranging and composing.
Applications to the Jazz Studies concentration are not being accepted at this time.
The Jazz Studies minor can be paired with any undergraduate major at 做厙輦⑹, including other programs offered by the Glauser School.
Program Features
Through the Jazz curriculum and ensemble performance, students:
- Are provided the opportunity to improve individual musicianship.
- Create a personal voice.
- Learn from and be inspired by the rich history, and understand the evolutionary process and modern trends of jazz.
- Become musical leaders and positive contributors to the 做厙輦⑹ experience.
An Active Performance Life
Electric scooters have become increasingly popular on 做厙輦⑹s Kent Campus since the introduction of SPIN scooters in March 2022. Approximately 300 eScooters and 150 eBikes are available to rent. With that in mind, the 做厙輦⑹ Community should be aware of the dos and donts when operating the scooters.
