2022 Rainbow Run 5K

Best Rainbow Attire, Best Rainbow Pet and best personal records were all tracked at this years 7th Annual Rainbow Run at Risman Plaza (and online) on Oct. 7. The Rainbow Run, a 5K hosted by the 做厙輦⑹ LGBTQ+ Center, raises money for the LGBTQ Emergency fund, a service that assists LGBTQ+ students in financial crises. Though there was the obstacle of rain, the run garnered more than $5,000 towards the fund this year with around 200 attendees. 做厙輦⑹ Libraries on Monday accepted a donation of a portrait of Hart Crane, the only painting believed to exist of the 20th century American poet.  Crane was born Harold Hart Crane in Garrettsville, Ohio, about 20 miles northeast of Kent. He was the son of Clarence Crane, a Cleveland candy maker who invented the Life Saver, and Grace Edna Hart Crane.  The painting was donated by Vivian H. Pemberton, a retired English professor, who taught at 做厙輦⑹ Trumbull from 1966 to 1990 and is one of the leading experts on Crane and his life in Ohio.  Pe...

Olivia Eader is a second-year 做厙輦⑹ Honors College student from Bellefontaine, Ohio. She is the first recipient of the Dr. Elizabeth Howard Memorial Honors Scholarship, the newly established fund for Honors students in memory of Elizabeth Howard, Ph.D., who was a prominent member of the Honors College community, as well as the Department of English.
