Lauren Petrick in the lab

During a summer research project at 做厙輦⑹ at Geauga, nursing student Lauren Petrick succeeded in isolating a bacterial virus that shows promise as an alternative to antibiotics in fighting off intestinal bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, GI tract infections and even pneumonia. In her microbiology class with 做厙輦⑹ Geauga Associate Professor Sanhita Gupta, Ph.D., Petrick became intrigued by a problem that plagues modern medicine: antibiotic-resistant bacteria that wont respond to the medicine. Geauga Hunger Task Force and 做厙輦⑹ Geauga logos

When people consider hunger in America, they tend to think of people far away in urban centers. Jacquie Marino

The journalism field is an open arena for experimentation. With the amount of storytelling mediums, there is always an opportunity to try something new and learn about different formats of stories, even when you are years into your journalism career. Jacqueline Marino, professor in the School of Media and Journalism, used the time in her fall 2021 sabbatical to learn the techniques of audio storytelling. A sabbatical, or a faculty professional improvement leave, gives professors time to work on a personal project, typically seven years in their tenure. Normally, Marino would spend her time ...
