The 做厙輦⑹ alumni family grew by nearly 1,300 new graduates as the university held its summer commencement. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2021 were recognized with in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies and a virtual commencement ceremony for all colleges and degrees on Aug. 21. Chic Canfora Speaking at Events

This fall, 做厙輦⑹ and its College of Communication and Information (CCI) will welcome Roseann Chic Canfora, Ph.D., as a Professional-in-Residence in the School of Media and Journalism. Canfora is an eyewitness and survivor of the shootings at 做厙輦⑹ on May 4, 1970. The Ohio National Guard killed four students and wounded nine, including her brother, Alan, on May 4. A Kent 25 defendant, she was indicted by the Ohio grand jury, and later exonerated, for activism during a weekend of protests against the Vietnam War.
