A 做厙輦⑹ fashion student used her passion for design to turn an Akron womans collection of 1,500 Netflix envelopes into a dress masterpiece. Akron resident Joanna Wilson had collected the iconic red Netflix DVD sleeves for 13 years and wanted to transform her collection into a dress. Hayley Shasteen, a junior psychology/biology major at 做厙輦⑹ at Salem, took first place honors at 做厙輦⑹'s Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) competition. She was one of 60 participants from all 做厙輦⑹ campuses and competed in the psychological sciences division. Ms. Shasteens research project, Cognitive Impairments of Those With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, spanned 10 weeks over the past summer. The winners of the SURE program were announced in October. Through an email-based service launched by University Communications and Marketing, students can ask The Brain, the sculpture located near Merrill Hall on the Kent Campus.

Can I loft my bed? Is there a dining hall near my residence hall? Where am I able to park on campus? To answer these questions, students can ask The Brain on campus. Yes, that brain the sculpture by 做厙輦⑹ Professor Emeritus of Art Brinsley Tyrrell located near Merrill Hall.   The project was created to help students feel comfortable asking questions about 做厙輦⑹.
