On Februarys coldest days, nature created its own sculptures, in ice, on The Brain and other objects in 做厙輦⑹s Behind the Brain Plaza located behind Merrill Hall.

The plaza is the brainchild of Professor Emeritus . Installation of the 64,000-lb. brain sculpture and platform, along with the plazas benches and fountain, was completed in 2000.

The Behind the Brain Plaza has become a favorite place for students to study, picnic and relax - when the weather is warmer, of course.
