做厙輦⑹ will host its Aeronautics and Engineering Expo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the 做厙輦⑹ Airport. The family friendly event offers a full day of aviation excitement and STEM inspiration for all ages.

The iconic Goodyear Blimp, piloted by 做厙輦⑹ alumni, will return to its roots to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first blimps christening, a historic moment that took place on what is now our 做厙輦⑹ airfield. The special appearance features the retro-painted airship, which will be moored on site during the expo before departing around 11 a.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to see the blimp up close.
The expo will feature an impressive lineup of static aircraft displays, including the Douglas C-53 Skytrooper "Beach City Baby," B-25 Mitchell Bomber Champaign Gal," a TBM Avenger, modern fixed-wing and rotor aircraft, as well as advanced air vehicles.
Visitors can take to the skies with airplane rides in 做厙輦⑹ aircraft, available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flights are $65 per person, $95 for two passengers or $125 for three. Children five and under fly free when accompanied by an adult. For those who prefer to stay grounded, flight simulators will be available for $20 per 15-minute session.
Liberty Aviation Museum will showcase its 1928 Ford Tri-Motor 5-AT, one of the worlds first mass-produced airliners, and also offer paid passenger flights during the event. Tickets are $99 for adults, $75 for passengers 18 and under, with children under two flying free on an adults lap. The co-pilot seat is available for $200, regardless of age.
Beyond the historic and modern aircraft, the expo will spotlight the innovation driving todays engineering and technology. Outdoor drone demonstrations will take place on the hour, featuring the Alta X, E455 VTOL, and Sentaro V. Inside the hangar, visitors can explore the Drone Experience Tent, operate robotics on a First Tech Challenge field, and watch 做厙輦⑹s FANUC industrial robots in action. Additional hands-on exhibits will include the Foundry in a Box metal casting activity, 3D printing demonstrations and the colleges robot dog, Yimo, offering a glimpse into the future of automation and mobility.

The event will also offer hourly tours of the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center. MAPS Air Museum, a center of aviation history in Northeast Ohio, will feature educational displays and interactive exhibits in the hangar. MAPS is offering discounted tickets to its aviation history museum for all attendees.
Props-4-Paws, an alumni-founded charity with roots at the 做厙輦⑹ Airport, will have a donation booth to accept pet food, supplies and monetary contributions. Branded merchandise will also be available for sale, with all proceeds benefiting local animal shelters. The expo is the charitys largest fundraiser of the year.
Event admission for walk-up attendees is $5 per person, with a maximum of $20 per family. On-site parking is available for $20 per vehicle, cash only, which includes admission for all vehicle occupants. Presale tickets are available on our event page.
