New laptop cart and laptop computers donated by the SCF

  The Salem Community Foundation recently donated more than $51,000 to the 做厙輦⑹ Salem Campus for the purchase of 45 new laptop computers, as well as a charging cart.  The computers are Dell Latitiude 5490 XCTO models and are used by faculty for testing and instruction of students in all majors. The charging cart allows the laptops to be recharged after each use, while securely stored. A national organization has recognized 做厙輦⑹ with a perfect overall score for the universitys efforts to create a more inclusive campus and welcoming environment for all. 做厙輦⑹ has received a 5.0 out of 5.0 score on the Campus Pride Index, the premier national benchmarking tool for creating safer and more LGBTQ-friendly learning environments at colleges and universities. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) created the AIA-ACSA Design & Health Research Consortium to advance university research that ties together building design and health concerns.  做厙輦⑹ is one of the 25 charter university members invited to join the consortium.   Throughout the past Spring semester, seven students taking the Business Consulting and Practicum course worked on a project that could help generate commercial interest in Columbiana County. The students partnered with the Columbiana County Port Authority and the Office of Economic Development to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for the organizations. The Fashion School at 做厙輦⑹ held its 37th annual fashion show April 26 and 27 in the schools home of Rockwell Hall on the Kent Campus.
