A Moderate Number of Graduate and International Students Will Be Looking For Additional Off-Campus Housing

According to a June 2017 student survey, graduate students are relatively happy with housing options.  They prefer to live off-campus and proximity to campus is not important. The cost of rent/utilities is the driving decision factor.  There is a small demand for additional graduate and international housing, but it should be off-campus and mixed with other housing types.

JMC Alumnus Tyler Pina, '14, is drawing attention to reintegration after incarceration through film

做厙輦⑹ alumnus Tyler Pina, 14, recently teamed up with fellow alumni to create a film focusing on the stories of inmates lives, post-incarceration. Pina graduated from the digital media production major three years ago, and works in San Francisco as a video director of The Verge, a Vox Media company, and is founder and CEO of Neon Flamingo Films. This film, 88 Cents, which has been submitted to the Sundance Film Festival, aims to draw awareness to the difficulty of reintegrating into society after leaving the prison system and the lack of resources provided for these people. The 做厙輦⑹ Airport received the Animal Heroes Award for its Props 4 Paws pet food drive, which supports the Portage Animal Protection League and the Summit County Humane Society.

The 做厙輦⑹ Airport received the Animal Heroes Award, along with certificates from the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives, at the 2017 Summit County Humane PAWSibility Ball for its Props 4 Paws pet food drive. 做厙輦⑹ received the award, but it was earned by a much broader community, says Airport Manager David Poluga. On Sept. 6, Master Sgt. Troy Eckenrode and his wife and 做厙輦⑹ at Trumbull staff member Maribeth Eckenrode presented the campus with the U.S. flag, Old Glory. The flag was originally flown on Nov. 5, 2016, aboard a C-130H in the face of the enemy during a combat mission against the Islamic State group forces in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
