Governor Appoints Haley Dees to °µÍø½ûÇø Board as New Undergraduate Student Trustee

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Haley Dees of Lisbon, Ohio, to the °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees as an undergraduate student trustee. Dees’ two-year term runs through May 16, 2024.

Governor Names Christian Palich to °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Christian Palich of Plain City, Ohio, to the °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees. Palich will serve through May 16, 2031. Palich earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2009 from °µÍø½ûÇø.

°µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees Approves Establishing University Operations in Rwanda, Africa

The °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees approved the establishment and registration of a Community Benefit Company in Rwanda, Africa, during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 25. °µÍø½ûÇø has realized an immediate need to establish a private limited company, designated as a not-for-profit Community Benefit Company, that can serve as a strategic starting point for engaging in the African continent’s expanding higher education market.

°µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree

The °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding °µÍø½ûÇøâ€™s Regional Campuses.  The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

°µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees Approves Two New Majors to Meet High Demand for Growing Fields

The °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees approved two new degree programs at its regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Dec. 15. The new majors – the Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology major within the Bachelor of Science degree and the Emerging Media and Technology major within the Master of Science degree – will help meet the high demand for these types of programs and provide opportunities for students to find careers in these growing fields.
