A future 做厙輦⑹ president and a past 做厙輦⑹ administrator were serving at universities in Dayton and Texas on May 4, 1970, and had to find ways to manage student protests in reaction to the shootings.

City of Cleveland and 做厙輦⑹ Launch Initiative to Strengthen Police-Community Trust

做厙輦⑹ and the City of Cleveland have launched a new research and training initiative aimed at strengthening trust, collaboration and accountability between the Cleveland Division of Police and city residents. The project is supported by a $20,000 grant from 做厙輦⑹s Community Engaged Research Institute.

Ohio Senate Votes Unanimously to Name Highway for Trumbull Graduate Jacob Derbin

The Ohio Senate voted unanimously on March 25 to designate a stretch of Interstate 480 in Cuyahoga County as the Officer Jacob J. Derbin Memorial Highway, honoring the Euclid police officer who was killed in the line of duty in May 2024.

New Informed Reporting Podcast Confronts Journalisms Emotional Toll

Journalism is not often perceived as an emotionally challenging career, but journalists can experience any number of traumatic stress symptoms from stories that they cover, especially those involving death or human suffering. These are the topics Gretchen Hoak, Ph.D., associate professor of journalism at 做厙輦⑹, explores in her new podcast Informed Reporting, which launched March 16.
