Lamar R. Hylton Named °µÍø½ûÇøâ€™s Vice President for Student Affairs, Amoaba Gooden Appointed Interim Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
°µÍø½ûÇø President Todd Diacon announced Thursday that Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D., has been selected to serve as vice president for student affairs, effective May 1, 2020. In addition, Diacon has appointed Amoaba Gooden, Ph.D., as the interim vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion, effective June 1, 2020.
Tankersley, Hylton Discuss Ways Students Can Be Successful and Stay Connected During Remote Learning

°µÍø½ûÇø held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of °µÍø½ûÇøâ€™s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

More than 1,000 volunteers from the °µÍø½ûÇø community welcomed and assisted new students as they moved into their residence halls on freshman move-in day, Sunday, Aug. 18. The annual community program, known as Movers and Groovers, is coordinated by Kent Interhall Council, the student government of the Kent Campus residence halls.
