做厙輦⑹ Honors College Student Announced as 2021 Portz Scholar

The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced 做厙輦⑹ Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from 做厙輦⑹ to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.

Senior Honors Student Prepares to Apply for Graduate School in Clinical Psychology

Heather House is a senior Honors College student graduating with a major in psychology with a concentration in child psychology and a minor in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Originally from Tallmadge, Ohio, Heather credits the Honors College for helping her find opportunities that related to her professional interests. The Honors College faculty and staff informed Heather about the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program.

LONG TIME KENT STATE PROFESSOR LEADS HONORS STUDENTS THROUGH REMOTE LEARNING

Dirk Remley has been with 做厙輦⑹ since 1990. Remley graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He continued his studies at Bowling Green State University by earning his Masters of Arts in English Literature. He then completed his Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from 做厙輦⑹.

Honors College Celebrates Graduating Seniors with Virtual Ceremony

This past weekend, on Saturday, April 3, the Honors College hosted its annual Senior Honors Recognition Ceremony for graduating Honors College seniors. In years past, the event has been an in-person luncheon, to which seniors bring their friends or families to celebrate their success in the Honors College. This spring, in light of the pandemic, the ceremony was entirely virtual. The event was introduced and hosted by the Dean of the Honors College, Dr. Alison Smith, and throughout the ceremony, all Honors College staff members congratulated graduating honors students on their accomplishments. Provost Melody Tankersley congratulated seniors, saying they have made a mark on 做厙輦⑹ that will continue.
