Beverly Guy-Sheftall Keynotes Women’s History Month

°µÍø½ûÇø continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the Kent Campus is designated as a Military Friendly® School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, °µÍø½ûÇø at Trumbull earned a Silver award.
°µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
The °µÍø½ûÇø Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding °µÍø½ûÇøâ€™s Regional Campuses.

°µÍø½ûÇø President Todd Diacon updated the university community on recent actions regarding the appointment of Sean Broghammer, Ph.D., as °µÍø½ûÇøâ€™s new vice president for enrollment management.
PNC Foundation Awards $75,000 to °µÍø½ûÇø
The PNC Foundation has awarded $75,000 to °µÍø½ûÇø to help ensure success among students who commonly face barriers in college. This grant aligns with PNC’s focus on addressing economic inequality among Black American and low- to moderate-income communities, and it will provide resources for students that will help them complete college and establish a strong foundation on which to build their careers.
°µÍø½ûÇø Wins Award for Excellence in Integrating International Education Throughout University
°µÍø½ûÇø is the sole university in the U.S. to receive the prestigious 2022 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The honor recognizes °µÍø½ûÇø for overall excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university and its campuses.
°µÍø½ûÇø and Cleveland State Partner to Shorten Time Students Need for Bachelor’s, Law Degrees
°µÍø½ûÇø has established a new partnership with Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law to offer students two pathways to obtain a bachelor’s degree from °µÍø½ûÇø and a law degree from CSU in six years. The new 3+3 program will shorten the length of time typically needed to complete both degrees.
