°µÍø½ûÇø continues to demonstrate its strength as an academic institution with its inclusion on several lists in the new 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. U.S. News has again named °µÍø½ûÇø among the Top Public Schools in the nation in the newly released rankings.
°µÍø½ûÇø Psychology Professor to Receive 2022 ATHENA Akron Leadership Award
ATHENA Akron, a women’s leadership organization in Summit County, Ohio, has named Angela Neal-Barnett, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences at °µÍø½ûÇø, its winner of the 2022 ATHENA Akron Leadership Award. She will receive the award on Nov. 17 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn.
Forbes Ranks °µÍø½ûÇø No. 3 in Ohio on America’s Best-in-State Employers List
°µÍø½ûÇø has again been recognized as one of America’s Best-in-State Employers for 2022 by Forbes and market research company Statista. In Ohio, °µÍø½ûÇø ranks No. 3 among the top 100 employers in Ohio, landing above such notable employers as Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic, both located in Cleveland.

For a third consecutive year, °µÍø½ûÇø has been selected as one the nation’s top universities for LGBTQ+ students for creating a safe, welcoming environment for students, faculty and staff, according to Campus Pride, a leading resource for LGBTQ+ leadership development, diversity inclusion and advocacy within higher education.
°µÍø½ûÇø’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Wins 19 Marketing and Communications Awards
°µÍø½ûÇø’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement launched the university’s most ambitious fundraising campaign, called Forever Brighter, last October, creating communications and fundraising materials that share the remarkable impact of alumni engagement and donor philanthropy on the university. The division has earned 19 marketing and communications awards from multiple competitions.

U.S. News & World Report ranks six °µÍø½ûÇø programs in the top 100 among public institutions in its 2023 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Among the top 100 public institution programs, °µÍø½ûÇø is recognized in the Best Nursing Schools: Master’s Programs, Best Education Schools, Best Mathematics Programs, Best Psychology Schools, Best Public Health Programs and Best Physics Schools rankings. °µÍø½ûÇø is also recognized in an additional five new national rankings.
