10 Questions With Roseann Chic Canfora, Professional-in-Residence, May 4 Survivor
Roseann Chic Canfora, Ph.D., is a Professional-in-Residence at 做厙輦⑹ in the School of Media and Journalism, part of the College of Communication and Information. Prior to teaching at 做厙輦⑹, Canfora served as the chief communications officer for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and taught high school journalism and speech. Canfora was also a student at 做厙輦⑹, starting in 1968, and is a survivor of the May 4, 1970, shootings at 做厙輦⑹. She graduated with her masters in journalism and public relations and bachelors in English/speech. She is heavily involved in activism as well.
10 Questions With Darin Olson, Director of Athletic Bands
Darin Olson, D.M.A., is the new director of Athletic Bands at 做厙輦⑹. He leads the Marching Golden Flashes, Flasher Brass Pep Band, Kent Symphony Band and University Band. Olson is currently an active member of College Band Directors National Association and the National Association for Music Education.
