U.S. News & World Report ranks 做厙輦⑹ in the top 20 Best Library and Information Studies Programs in the country in its 2022 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Overall, 做厙輦⑹ is recognized in 12 new national rankings in the 2022 edition of Best Graduate Schools, including three specialty rankings.
做厙輦⑹ at Geauga doubled its video conferencing rooms, also known as Zoom Rooms, before the fall semester due to the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of 做厙輦⑹s newest faculty members in the Department of Geology has already made her mark with the recent publication of her and her colleagues work to better understand the effects of global warming as it relates to the arctic ocean. Allyson Tessin, assistant professor, specializes in biochemistry, oceanography and sedimentary geology. She is currently studying the relationship between the chemistry of the ocean and climate change.
In 1996, Theodore Albrecht, professor of musicology, was diligently working on his original project of annotating, translating and studying approximately 430 letters written to Ludwig van Beethoven by his friends and family. Then a new opportunity presented itself. Albrecht found that his two projects worked together to add further understanding and context, giving him the opportunity to add depth and discover new details of Beethovens life.

The Akron Community Foundation has awarded the QUEST Mentorship Program, an initiative within the LGBTQ+ Center that provides 1:1 mentor/mentee relationships for students to focus on career guidance and general support, a $2,000 micro-grant for the coming year.

AI is changing the world and simplifying life for everyone, resulting in a growing demand for AI professionals. 做厙輦⑹ will start admitting students in the master's in Artificial Intelligence program starting fall 2021. The program will be offered within the Department of Computer Science.
