The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio

New Wave 80s band Devo isnt just from Ohio. Devo wasnt just created in Akron. Devo was forged at 做厙輦⑹ under the pressure of the turmoil of the late 60s and the events surrounding May 4, 1970. Authors David Giffels and Jade Dellinger brought their book The Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio to 做厙輦⑹ for a book signing and discussion.

做厙輦⑹ recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the universitys Black Alumni Chapter.

From the time he was a young child, Tom Batiuk, 69, knew he wanted to be a cartoonist. The Funky Winkerbean creator drew inspiration for his characters and storylines from his real world, including his time at 做厙輦⑹.

Amid the tremendous cultural change unfolding in the early 1970s, Bill Hoover, 71, co-founded the Kent Gay Liberation Front with Dr. Dolores Noll and Gail Pertz, to foster a community for LGBTQ+ individuals and their supporters.

The 做厙輦⑹ Alumni Association Announces New Members For Its National Board of Directors

The following new members have been appointed to the 做厙輦⑹ Alumni Association National Board of Directors for a three-year term, which began July 1: Jeff Guritza, of Brecksville, Ohio, is the vice president of marketing at SOPREMA USA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from 做厙輦⑹ in 1994.
